From 8 to 13 July, the OpenText community gathered at Enterprise World 2017 in Toronto. As a long-term Documentum partner, Amplexor’s team and two invited clients, KLM and ING, joined OpenText executives, partners and industry experts for six days of hands-on sessions, breakout conferences, strategy discussions and networking opportunities.
The pre-conference days kicked off with the Partner Summit - a stimulating session that provided clues and indicators about OpenText’s strategy for the future. This was one of the most anticipated moments of the conference following OpenText’s acquisition of Enterprise Content Division from Dell-EMC, finalized in January 2017, that placed long-term competitors Documentum and OpenText ECM side-by-side as a single solution. The main message could be summarized in five words: “KEEP CALM and CARRY ON” as speeches and presentations throughout the event shared the same positive and enthusiastic theme.
Enterprise World was a unique opportunity for the Amplexor team to meet some of our partners and customers and discuss myInsight for Documentum. While myInsight is part of OpenText’s Life Sciences Solution Suite it will still be available as a standalone solution for customized Documentum monitoring and reporting.
The event included more than 200 sessions, labs and workshops, and those that presented the new products and solutions OpenText will offer were noticeably crowded as attendees sought to learn more about the future of OpenText.
As the event wrapped up, the new OpenText logo was revealed and highlights the positioning of them as a strong part of the great federation within the galaxy of Information Management.
The date for Enterprise World 2018 was also announced and is planned for next 9 July 2018, in Toronto.
