Amplexor is pleased to announce the launch of a new fully-featured website for the Province of East Flanders, a regional public organization in Belgium. The revitalization of this core communication channel with the general public and business target audiences is part of an ongoing effort of the Province. The organization’s digital strategy aims to open its doors to the local and international communities and projects an innovative, creative and future-oriented image of East Flanders.
The new digital platform based on Adobe technologies provides a user-friendly content management environment for the editors’ team. It also fulfils the website redesign key objectives: centralize information about provincial administration, cooperation initiatives developed locally and internationally, business and tourism opportunities in the region as well as education institutions and programs.
Alexander Vercamer, Deputy for communication at Province of East Flanders, believes “with the new website, the Province confirms its image as an accessible and open institution. The website is a core tool to communicate with our residents, visitors, associations and local authorities."
Through responsive design and mobile first approach, allowing interactive communication while providing up-to-date content, people of East Flanders and around the world can reach the Province’s administration in terms of feedback, and members of the business community can gain access to our equipment, facilities, talent and expertise.
Amplexor was also involved in training and coaching the Province's team of developers, who were completely new to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Java programming language. Not only are they now completely up to speed with the technical tools, but they also got to implement current best practices on web development and workflows. These supporting services helped ensure the high quality of the project and end-result.
The new website and web development standards implemented for the Province of East Flanders was built on Amplexor’s past successes in leading Digital Experience projects for other government institutions in Belgium and worldwide. It’s a new beginning for the Province’s communications, but the website will grow from here. The two teams are already working to add more information and features to continue supporting the Province of East Flanders’s digital and brand positioning goals.
