Amplexor's Drupal Consultants attended this year’s edition of Drupal Developer Days in Seville, Spain, from 21-25 March.
This annual event, organized by the Drupal community, attracts professionals from all over the world who contribute to the progress of the Drupal platform. The gathering has taken place in Europe every year since 2010, when it started in Munich, Germany.
Themed around the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the globe, the gathering took place at El Fuerte de Isla Mágica, a replica of the fortress city of Cartagena de Indias in Colombia inside the Isla Mágica theme park in Seville. For Drupal Developer Days, “sprints” (joint coding sessions), sponsor booths, keynote speeches and special announcements all took place in the central area of this fortress.
While attending the event, Amplexor experts had a busy agenda that included speaker sessions and workshops focusing on the latest front- and back-end developments for the Drupal platform, as well as development sprints. Sprints are consistently a main feature of Developer Days, which sets it apart from other Drupal events. The Amplexor team appreciated the opportunity to code alongside the sharpest minds in the Drupal community and enjoyed networking with well-known global gurus and local experts.
Keynote speakers kicked off each day of the event by presenting on a range of relevant topics, such as the potential of Drupal to build web applications and online stores, the Internet of Things (IoT), the pros and cons of Drupal 8 and geographical data management.
