Amplexor, OpenText Platinum Partner, hosted the first edition of the OpenText Captiva Boot Camp between 29 July and 30 August 2019. Eindhoven received the ten-day intensive training program certified by OpenText, which gathered with the participation of Captiva administrators, developers, super users and end users.
Based on an OpenText curriculum, the training was divided into six sessions that focused on the essential aspects of intelligent data capture and input management. The courses consisted of theoretical and practical sessions and the attendees also had the chance to bring their own documents as samples to use in the hands-on labs.
Starting this boot camp with a Captiva fundamentals allowed all the participants, regardless of their technical background, to get a general overview of the basics of enterprise content management (ECM), input management and the latest version of OpenText Captiva. With this common base on process design and configuration using CaptureFlow Designer, participants then went more in depth to the following topics, like Captiva administration and development. On the advanced recognition course module, boot camp participants worked with Captiva to automatically classify, extract and validate information from images and documents, as well as develop custom plugins.
At the end of this boot camp, attendees got the chance to take a practice simulation of the Captiva 7.6 Administrator Certification Exam that certifies their OpenText Captiva expertise.
The Captiva boot camp isn’t the first event Amplexor co-hosts with OpenText. This past April, we organized OpenText DigiGov 2019, a lunch session in Leuven, Belgium, focused on real use cases of OpenText by public sector companies. In the end of last year, OpenText Innovate, also in Eindhoven, gathered ECM professionals to discuss the innovation pipeline in the Documentum product family. In May of 2018, Amplexor took Innovation Tour X to Luxembourg, an update session dedicated to Documentum, Captiva, InfoArchive, Magellan and more.
