AMPLEXOR has won their recent bid for a translation contract with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT).
DG CONNECT is the department responsible for developing a single digital market covering digital marketing, e-Commerce and telecommunications to generate smart, sustainable growth in Europe. Through policies on foreign affairs, security, public health, economy, education and training, their intent is to make the EU’s digital world a fair marketplace for consumers to access, buy and sell goods and services online; create rules that can keep pace with ever-changing technologies to support the environments and infrastructure of digital networks and services; and ensure the EU’s economic, industrial and employment sectors benefit from everything the digital world can offer.
The four-year contract, valued at 3,500,000 EURO, has been awarded to AMPLEXOR for the fourth time in a row, meaning they have been the preferred translation provider of DG CONNECT for over a decade. As their partner, AMPLEXOR will translate notifications and all related documentation sent to the European Commission by National Regulatory Authorities. The content to be translated relates to Article 7 of the Framework Directive 2002/21/EC (as amended by Directive 2009/140/EC).
AMPLEXOR has served public institutions across the EU and the globe for over 30 years and thus has a comprehensive understanding of public sector project and communications requirements.
“AMPLEXOR has always been committed to providing the European Commission with world-class translations and project support that meet the organization’s complex requirements,” said Daina Misina-Eglite, AMPLEXOR’s Executive VP of Public & Media. “We greatly value our continued relationship with DG CONNECT.”
