Amplexor supports childhood cancer research in the Netherlands

July 14, 2017

On 2 July, Amplexor sponsored the annual Run for Kika Marathon in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The marathon is a fundraiser for the Stichting Kinderen Kankervrij (Kika Foundation) which supports the scientific research and development of better treatments for children with cancer. Kika works with the Netherlands seven children's cancer centers in partnership with Dutch Cancer Society. The goal of the Run for Kika Marathon is to increase childhood cancer cure rates to 95% by supporting innovative research and development with the funds raised from each marathon.

As part of Amplexor’s corporate social responsibility, we integrate our social, economic, and environmental responsibilities into our activities and encourage our employees to participate in community initiatives. It is our belief that as well as contributing to larger social goals, fundraising and charity activities bring positive results to employee engagement and performance, boost morale and promote teamwork.

Run for Kika Marathons are organized every year in the Netherlands in six different cities including Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Almere, Utrecht, Nijmegen and Eindhoven. They are one of many initiatives the foundation promotes to raise research funds in support of childhood cancer treatment. Our team in Eindhoven is already planning to participate in the next event and surpass this year’s fundraising accomplishments.
