The second edition of the Luxembourg Digital Workplace Community, hosted on 2 October by Amplexor and ValueIntranet, reprised the success of the initiative’s launch of last May. The event also confirmed the importance of the group as a reference discussion hub for digital workplace managers and internal communication professionals who want to keep up with trends, best practices and exchange knowledge.
The session took place at Microsoft Luxembourg, filling up the meeting lounge with fifty participants, from previous attendees to new community members, as well as the two guest speakers: Stephan Schillerwein, international intranet & digital workplace advisor from Schillerwein Net Consulting Switzerland, and George Wantz, Managing Director at Deloitte Luxembourg.
After the opening and introductions, Stephan Schillerwein opened the stage. Through a business case he enlightened the audience on the “if, when and how” to go about choosing a future digital workplace. An equally interesting subject was approached by George Wantz, who discussed data privacy requirements, GDPR principles and how to make your intranet and digital workplace compliant.
Tom Vandersmissen, SharePoint & Office 365 consultant at Amplexor Belgium, showed attendees how change management strategies play a crucial role in the successful user adoption of digital workplaces. One of the highlights of the presentation was how to use personae to map key digital workplace scenarios, bringing user adoption to an individual level.
But the agenda didn’t end here! Besides the networking breaks, the program included more knowledge sharing moments. Participants got to discuss their own experiences and a few members presented concrete intranet challenges to the group. Everyone got a chance to pitch ideas and advice on practical ways forward.
Due to the success and relevance of these gatherings, the next edition is already in the works and will be announced soon.
