AMPLEXOR was gold sponsor of DrupalCamp Transylvania 2018, the international developer conference that gathered Drupal community members from across the world in Romania for 3 days in May.
After 3 successful editions in Târgu Mureș, the conference took place for the first time in Cluj-Napoca, the second largest city in Romania and a major IT hub in Central and Eastern Europe. This year, the event brought together more than 150 attendees to meet and share knowledge around all things Drupal and open-source web content management.
Throughout the event, our Digital Experience team was on-site presenting our latest client success stories with Drupal and introducing the Summer Internship Program for developers available at the Cluj office. The two-month, full-time program is aimed at final-year students and young graduates and focuses on web development in PHP for Drupal projects.
Mircea Fernea, Drupal Consultant at AMPLEXOR in Romania, was also invited to host a session showcasing our success story building a multisite in Drupal for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Around 50 back-end developers in attendance got to hear our expert present the multisite configuration setup built for ECDC, including their main website and two partner websites. Some of the topics that triggered most interest were the content architecture, editing functionalities for content managers, configuration management strategy, as well as performance monitoring and optimizations.
Besides the keynote sessions, participants could build their own program schedule, picking from workshops, hackathon sprints and deep-dive sessions catering to the interests of diverse professional profiles: business, PHP coding, back-end and front-end development, DevOps, site building, project management and content management.
Sponsoring the Drupalcamp was an excellent opportunity for our teams to meet and network with other core contributors and Drupal experts, get the latest technology updates first-hand, as well as bring back inspiration from successful Drupal implementations and best practices showcased at the event.
