AMPLEXOR joins the AR&VR momentum in Munich with B2B and B2C applications

Augmented and Virtual Reality software is estimated to reach over 440 million users worldwide and be worth 35 billion U.S. dollars by 2025, according to Statista. The applications of these technologies are growing exponentially and Augmented World Expo (AWE), the world's largest Augmented and Virtual Reality conference and expo, picked up on the momentum with its second European edition last 19-20 October in Munich.
Under the motto “Superpowers to change the world”, the event gathered over 1500 participants from around the world, including developers, creators and C-level executives.
AMPLEXOR’s digital experts were onsite with a AR & VR dedicated booth showcasing how these new technologies are shaping the future of B2B and B2C sectors across business domains, such as complex machinery repair, product testing, cost-efficient employee training, product branding, customer service and ecommerce, among others. Our visitors also had a chance to experience highly immersive demos of applications for service maintenance, product marketing and teleservice.
Over 100 speakers across five program tracks explored the latest technology trends and their practical applications, including Annette Zimmermann, Research VP at Gartner, who revealed AR comes up as their first major trend driving digital transformation. According to the research firm’s findings, by 2020, 100 million consumers will shop in AR worldwide, but mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets will still be dominant at least until the end of 2018, hosting 90% of all AR experiences.
