Business continuity amid COVID-19 global crisis

Last Updated 24 March, 2020

As COVID-19 makes its way across the globe, the uncertainty associated with this global pandemic has led to questions from our customers about our readiness and contingency plans in the face of the outbreak. In such challenging and changing times, we take our core values of accountability and transparency explicitly to share how our stakeholders worldwide can rely on our teams and on the continuity of our services.

As a global company, Amplexor has been closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation at a local and global level. While we focus on business continuity and keeping our clients serviced, the safety of our teams operating across the globe remains a priority.

How we’re dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide

Amplexor has had a comprehensive contingency and business continuity plan in place, and we are executing accordingly. Our focus remains on three main priorities:

  • Caring for the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers, partners and service providers
  • Enabling productivity for remote workers and employees working from home
  • Ensuring service availability, customer support and overall business continuity

In response to this emerging public health impact, Amplexor has already taken a series of precautionary measures:

  • Protecting our employees’ and customers’ health
First and foremost, the health and wellbeing of employees remains top of mind and our highest priority, and we will continue to act thoughtfully despite the disruption and uncertainty COVID-19 brings to our daily lives.
We have increased cleaning and sanitizing measures for all office locations to reduce the spread of all germs and prevent transmission of the virus. We also ensure that when customers expect our staff on-site, the necessary health precautions are applicable to that workplace.

  • Safeguarding accessibility and security of our infrastructure
Our services and operational backbone are predominantly cloud-based and as a result we expect no interruption to our software, customer experience or ability to compensate employees and service providers for their good work. Our infrastructure and tools are designed to support the remote work setup the situation demands, both in terms of accessibility and information security.
  • Promote remote collaboration and human connection
As a global company, many of our daily team collaboration is done through digital workplace technologies, and business meetings are held through video-conferencing. In a time where most of our workforce is now remote, we reinforce the adoption of these technologies not only to keep the business running, but also to keep teams together and bridge interpersonal gaps.

  • Suspended travel and public events
In addition to the health and safety measures throughout our offices, we have also decided to either postpone or cancel our participation at all external events and conferences. Some of our local events have been converted into virtual broadcasts to accommodate local measures in place. We have also restricted all business-related travel, domestic and international until further notice, and recommended employees to re-assess personal travel plans in the short-term.

  • Enabling our employees to work from home
We are fortunate that the grand majority of our work can be done remotely and our teams are setup to work remotely on an ongoing basis. We have also completed additional planning to ensure the efficiency of remote work in light of the current COVID-19 virus situation. Following guidelines and instructions from authorities, our employees have been equipped to perform their work from home while safeguarding information security. Our decisions on remote working are based on government regulations and recommendations and are tied to assessed risk levels.

  • Maintain open lines for internal communication
As our office locations across the globe began experiencing heightened concerns, we quickly initiated a regular cadence of communications with our local teams and regional management to ensure they have the support they need and follow guidance and recommendations from local health authorities.

  • Ensuring redundancy across Amplexor sites
Amplexor is part of a resilient, international group. We have resources available in various teams across the globe to ensure the stability and quality of our operations, and we take pride in delivering what we promised.
Our business continuity plans also ensure redundancy across Amplexor sites to complete the management and execution of work. This enables us to seamlessly transition work from one site to another in case of mass absenteeism or where the individuals who are working on a given account are unavailable.

  • Helping customers prepare for emergency remote work
Some organizations are looking to Amplexor to uphold their own business continuity plans – whether your employees are working from home and you need to improve your virtual workspaces or you’re looking to potential solutions to reconnect remote teams reliably. We’ve put together a quick guide on practical aspects to ensure business continuity based on digital collaboration technologies, and our teams remain available to answer any questions, or help you set up your virtual working environments.

  • Provide timely and accurate support
We take your service levels at heart. Our service engineers remain available at all times to support your needs, including complex issues.
We cooperate with colleagues in various locations across Europe and North America to ensure permanent and consistent support under any circumstances.

  • Continuing monitoring
We have established a COVID-19 monitoring committee, with management representation from across our organization. This committee is working closely with our Country Managers and Human Resources to assess the local impact and review guidelines based on recommendations from local authorities on a daily basis.

As the coronavirus situation continues to evolve, we will remain committed to service and support our customers worldwide.

Wishing all our partners, customers, stakeholders and their families around the world to remain safe and healthy during these challenging times.
