As with the Hyperloop Competition II in 2017, only student teams may enter the contest, and the "competition will be judged solely on one criteria: maximum speed with successful deceleration (i.e. without crashing)." The difference between the upcoming Hyperloop Competition III and the two test-track competitions in 2017 is all pods must be self-propelled.
Amplexor’s Gilberto Picareta, Manager for Strategic Accounts and Technology Evangelist, and Lorenz Wiegand, Product Manager and Digital Expert, were privy to the exclusive event in which Swissloop unveiled their new Pod, “Mujinga,” named after the fastest Swiss female sprinter, Mujinga Kambundji. Kambundji was an honorary guest at the event and was enthusiastic about the strides the Swissloop team is making to overcome challenges and turn a visionary dream into a reality.
The event was an exciting demonstration of collective drive and passion for breakthrough discovery and revolutionary ideas that Amplexor is privileged to be a part of and support. Swissloop’s pod reveal is yet another step toward ground-breaking technology that will reshape the way we think about transportation.
Celebrating the imaginative and inventive minds of our time, Amplexor will be cheering on Swissloop at the final competition next month. And we’ll use their spirit as inspiration as we do some visionary work of our own.
