The web has become a major channel for most organizations. From large corporations, to small businesses, from government agencies to non-profit organization: all of them are trying to figure out how their website can support their business and communication strategy.
During this seminar, you will learn what questions you have to ask yourself before kicking off a new website project. The first session will focus on the link between your website and the Web Content Management System. You will get an overview of the different types of WCM projects, the latest trends in WCM and an insight in the typical WCM jargon.
The second part of the seminar will focus on the selection of the Web Content Management System and the implementation partner. What are the options and what selection criteria should you apply? There will also be an overview of the typical cost factors of a WCMS project which will allow you to develop valuable insights for defining your budget.
The third session will focus on the project aspects of a web content management implementation: how to plan and to roll out a WCMS project? Who should be involved in the project team and what type of project methodology should be used? What about the – much overlooked - content creation and migration processes? What are the typical pitfalls?
In a last session, you will be able to learn from 2 real WCMS implementation cases, Tessenderlo Chemie and UiTinVlaanderen.be.
