Senior Java Developer

Amplexor is seeking passionate, team-oriented and self-motivated Senior Java Developers to help build Java based content management solutions and web applications for our customers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining critical applications which help our customers to differentiate themselves. Amplexor builds enterprise-wide content management solutions for the largest companies in Belgium and Holland. Here's an excellent opportunity for you to use your talents to help us design, develop, test and maintain quality solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Gather application requirements from users, create preliminary design concepts and draft technical design documents, in close collaboration with other architects and the client.
  • Set-up of test environments and application stress testing
  • Contribute to the development of the team through collaboration with other developers on code reviews and internal infrastructure and process enhancements.

Profile

  • You have a degree in computer sciences (university degree or equivalent) and 3 years industry experience customized solutions for customers.
  • You are passionate about Java (Certifications are a plus)
  • You like working in small teams, but are able to work on your own.
  • Exceptional problem solving aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, preferably in English, French and Dutch and you like direct customer contact.

Technical Requirements

  • You have an in depth knowledge of Java
  • Experience with Java tools/technologies/frameworks/standards (e.g. Eclipse, Hibernate, Spring, JSR-standards, etc.)
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of XML technologies (XSLT, Xpath, DOM and SAX)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and experience with database programming.
  • Experience with Java based enterprise content management platforms (Documentum, Alfresco, Apache Cocoon etc.), knowledge of search/classification tools (FAST, Verity, Apache Lucene, etc.) or portal software (BEA Weblogic , IBM WebSphere, JBoss, Liferay,etc.) is a plus
