Agfa Corporate Website
About the project

AGFA wanted to inject new life into its corporate website and sell its products better via consistent navigation and product positioning throughout all its websites. AGFA’s web presence consisted of dozens of different websites that all needed to be harmonised.
Once the harmonisation strategy was drawn up, it had to be put into practice. The challenge was to ensure that consistency was maintained via a system that allowed all the various information managers and business units to place the information on the websites in a simple and controlled manner.
At the same time, the websites had to serve as a better receiving channel for customer contacts so that questions posed by customers and prospects could be received and channelled better.
How?
The entire website is managed and published from a central Content Management System (Tridion R5). Amplexor set up the system in such a way that information created by AGFA’s Business Units can smoothly seep through to the general corporate site or be reused and translated for the different local country websites.
The system also has several extensive instruments that allow the business to:
- make and publish their own forms on the website in a flexible manner
- direct incoming requests to certain persons in function of the type of request and the sender’s profile
- make newsletters in a look and feel that is consistent with the website
- send personalised newsletters to certain segments of users that registered to receive various AGFA newsletters
Amplexor started working on this project in October 2004. AGFA’s 25 existing, modernised websites were launched at the same time in May 2005.
