Nordic Life Science Days 2017 Recap

Nordic Life Science Days 2017 wrapped up last week in Malmo, Sweden after three days of valuable networking, presentations, workshops, exhibition and meetings. Over 1,300 attendees and exhibitors made the trek north for the largest life science conference in the Nordic region. AMPLEXOR Life Sciences also made the journey to exhibit and present.

AMPLEXOR’s Manager of Strategic Accounts, Helga Mosner, spoke about the benefits of using automated tools in delivering language services for centralized procedure (CP) EMA submissions. She presented the translations process, the business case for these automated tools and spoke about one tool in particular, QRDetect, that AMPLEXOR developed for its clients. Through automation, QRDetect has saved clients up to 75% in QA costs for a typical EMA submission, according to Mosner. It has also reduced time by the same fraction.

Mosner shared this anecdote and many others about AMPEXOR’s innovative language services offerings with attendees on the exhibit hall floor, in meetings and in networking sessions over the course of the three-day event which featured representatives from pharma, medical device, biotech and CRO organizations of all sizes – Fortune 500 to small and mid-sized businesses.

It’s incredible to see the whole ecosystem of service companies that grow around the life sciences,” Timofejeva remarked. “I can't imagine how many there are, but it is wonderful that AMPLEXOR Life Sciences is part of it.”

Nordic Life Science Days 2017 offered workshops and “super sessions” on a wide variety of topics from intellectual property to financing “low priority” clinical trials to “Response to Outbreaks of Emerging Infections Disease.”

"It was a great event for learning and networking," offered Mosner. “It was also a great opportunity to showcase our language services and tools for making the submission process,” she added.
