Amplexor sees continuous growth in 2007

The ECM specialist from Leuven enjoys an increase in its turnover and continues to expand

Leuven, June 5th 2008 - For Amplexor, a specialist in enterprise content management (ECM) systems, 2007 has been another exceptional year. The Belgian company active in the IT field saw a significant rise in its profits and recorded in 2007 a turnover of more than four million euro, an increase of more than 35% over 2006.

Strong growth in turnover and expansion

"We can be proud of the past year," says Eric Pieters, who heads Amplexor. "Besides enjoying a strong increase in our turnover, we have made significant profits and have been involved in a number of very big projects. Furthermore, we have widened our portfolio and opened a second office in Ghent."

Interesting projects

"There is a constant demand for content management systems," adds Pieters, "whether they be enterprise content management systems, which are growing all the time, or web content management systems. This demand comes not only from the private sector but also from the public authorities." Last year, for example, Amplexor participated in the construction of the new federal portal site, belgium.be, and the new website of the province of Flemish Brabant. In addition, the firm carried out new projects for amongst others Tessenderlo Chemie, Total and the Flemish government and started on the implementation of web content management systems for amongst others Argenta and the University Hospitals of Leuven.

Expanded portfolio and new office

Amplexor aims to offer its clients the widest possible portfolio and recently added the Drupal open source WCM system to its product range. Thanks to this extended range, Amplexor positions itself as a generic specialist in content management systems. In addition to extending its products, the company opened a second office in Ghent this spring with the goal of offering its clients even better service.

Content management

Amplexor specialises in enterprise content management, a term that covers many areas. A few examples of its activities are: development of intranet architectures, implementation of websites for companies that have sites in several countries (multi-country websites), the design and adaptation of collaborative environments (work-flow), document management, research technology, and so on.

Besides being a specialist in design and development, Amplexor employs information architects who provide advice, manage partners' existing software, or establish links between various different applications.
